Name: AVIATION ART
Welcome to the WorldMilitaria Aviation Art web site.
In these pages you will find a large selection of Polish aviation art prints,
featuring a wide variety of aircraft types depicted in scenes
WWII, many individually signed by pilots or aircrew.
The Polish aviation art not very well developed and comparatively little known abroad. Works of Piotr G?rka, based on detailed studies of actual air encounters and combat tactics, represent strikingly accutate drawings of aircraft and their camouflage schemes, captured in highly dramatic war settings. |

" I cannot say how proud I am to have been privileged to help form and lead No. 303 squadron and later to lead such a magnificent fighting force as the Polish Wing. There formed within me in those days an admiration, respect and genuine affection for these really remarkable men which I have never lost. I formed friendship that are as firm as they were those twenty-five years ago and this I find most gratifying.
We who were privileged to fly and fight with them will never forget and Britain must never forget how much she owes to the loyalty indomitable spirit and sacrifice of those Polish fliers. They were our staunchest Allies in our darkest days; may they always be remembered as such!"
G/C John A. Kent DFC, AFC, Virtuti Militari.
" The gallant Polish soldiers, sailors and airmen have fought beside my Force in many parts of the world and everywhere have won their high regard. In particular, we in this country remember with gratitude the part played by Polish airmen in the Battle of Britain, which all the world recognizes as a decisive moment in the war. It is my earnest hope that Poland, may, in the tasks now confront the Allied nations, achieve the reward of all her courage and sacrifices."
His Majesty King George VI. May 8th, 1945.
